Nobu for dinner! It was pretty fantastic and lived up to the extreme hype that it has to live up. My friend and I ordered several dishes as you’ll see below. This watermelon fish dish was one of our favorites of the evening.
Yellow tartar w/caviar. That weird thing that looks like an overgrown caper is a Japanese fruit of some kind. SO GOOD. Put it in your mouth and eat it.
Uni Tacos were RAD!
Fish tempura with french fries. Very tasty, loved the wagyu tacos more.
Yellowtail hamachi. One of the other best dishes of the night surprisingly. You can find this dish anywhere in LA but I’m pretty certain it’s the best here. The perfect balance of acidity and extreme savory umami-ness.
Wagyu tacos. Yeah, we got 2 orders of this. Fantastic!
At this point it was getting dark outside and my poor iphone couldn’t take it. Despite how the photo looks this scallop and mushroom dish was also amazing.
We ordered a nabe with beef and veggies. It was good but most likely wouldn’t order it again if I came with a group. By itself if you were eating here alone this would be a perfect light dinner.
The snow crab with mayo. The idea was nice but if you’re not a fan of mayo you’re not going to like that topping that looks like cheese that isn’t cheese.
As many photos you see online of Kim Kardashian eating at this joint it lives up to it’s fame. It’s pretty solid and you’ll be hard bet to find anything not tasty about it.
