Izakaya Gazen – Little Tokyo

Natto

Located on a corner in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, this Japanese izakaya offers a unique selection of Japanese lunches and dinners that go beyond your standard teriyaki flare.
My go to dish is always their Matsuri Natto. They import their natto from Japan and their tofu is made in house. It’s just really good, filling, and healthy! I love to get this with sake and a side of A-5 Wagyu sushi which melts in your mouth.

sake

Overflowing sake always makes things better 🙂

natto taco

Mix the contents of the natto bowl together and put them in the little roasted seaweed squares to make a natto taco.
