Having grown up in the Midwest I’ve ate my fair share of hot beef sandwiches. I decided to do a slight twist on this classic using thick slabs of bacon with some left over mashed potatoes, creamy white wine sauce I had in the fridge and some fresh Japanese style Milk Bread. The bacon and sauce can be substituted with any proteins and home style gravy you may already have.
1 slice of Japanese Milk Bread (any white bread works great)
3 slices of thick bacon (or any proteins)
1/2 cup of sauce or your favorite type of gravy
Start with the slice of bread as your base and layer on your meat, mashed potatoes and finally the sauce. I sometimes will use extra sauce so the bread can absorb it all. It’s so delicious this way!
Enjoy!
